**For tips working with food coloring markers, go here.
Supplies Needed:
dipping fork or kitchen fork
parchment paper lined baking sheet that fits into your freezer
Instructions:
Dip a Nutter Butter cookie into the melted white candy coating. Lift it out using a dipping fork or kitchen fork and allow excess candy coating to drip off. Set on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat. Freeze dipped cookies for 5 minutes. Remove from freezer and allow to come to room temperature.
Use a black food coloring marker to draw on the features of each skull. Get creative and do some different faces.
Store in an airtight container for several weeks. These will be adorning my dessert table in just a few days at our party. I'm really excited for my friends and family to come celebrate such a fun holiday with us. Are you getting ready for a party too?

Absolutely love these Beth! I love easy treats and these are perfect. Its nice to see something different like these from the Nutterbutter ghosts. Share these with Nabisco on FB..I bet they will love them!
ReplyDeleteGreat suggestion, Jill. I just added it to Nabisco's FB page and their Nutter Butter page!
DeleteThese are great! Love them - Not sure I am talented enough to successfully pull off the dip/freeze/draw combo but I'm willing to give it the old college try! Have everything I need. You have such great ideas!
ReplyDeleteLove these Beth! And the little faces you drew are adorable!! :)
ReplyDeletei love all these ideas just wish that canada wasnt nut free , leaves parents limited ..school, karate class, brownies all are nut free ....is there any other cookies with this shape out there for us in canada
ReplyDeleteOh, sorry to hear that. You could swap out Pepperide Farm Milanos or any oval cream filled cookies. I know there are some but I'm not sure of brand names. The cookies wont have the "8" shape, but will still work well as skulls.
DeleteVery cute and creative!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these!! I have used Nutter Butters to make ghosts...but I never would have thought to do skulls! Great idea, thank you so much for sharing!!
ReplyDeletenothing better than quick easy and TASTY - thanks for another awesome idea, Beth!
ReplyDeleteWow that was easy, very clever of you. Got to try out this one. Great share. Got my eye on your next posts.
